The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Sport and Exercise Science Physiology Technician to join our technical team. This is an exciting time as we expand our sport and allied health provision providing you an opportunity to play a significant role in this growth.

This role is ideal for someone who has subject expertise and specialist technical support experience in Sport and Exercise Science.

The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where they manage the laboratory facilities and provide a support service to consultancy and research, whilst enabling an outstanding student experience of practical techniques learnt in the laboratory.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance and management of laboratory facilities
  • Preparation and setting up of equipment and materials for a range of laboratory teaching and research project experiments
  • Demonstrating the use of equipment and techniques to staff and students
  • Maintaining stocks and supplies and inventories

The successful candidate will have:

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Sport and Exercise Sciences laboratories
  • Demonstrable skills in good laboratory practice
  • Experience of health and safety issues and practices in the laboratory
  • Ability to prepare and calibrate equipment to specific levels of accuracy using relevant numeracy skills
