The Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre (SPMIC) is a world-leading, cross-faculty centre for biomedical imaging. The SPMIC wishes to appoint to the role of Receptionist/Administrator for the Centre.

We are looking for a friendly, engaging, enthusiastic person with extensive IT knowledge (MS Office, email) and with a high level of customer service whilst working to deadlines.

You will provide support to all users of the Centre through duties which include reception cover, administration and records handling (particularly relating to safety and study consent forms) adhering to GDPR requirements. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to members of academic staff, postdoctoral researchers, postgraduates and technical staff, including supporting committees, health and safety, general support office outputs and administration. You will often be the main point of contact for researchers using the Centre’s biomedical imaging facilities and for participants in our imaging studies.

You will bring:?

  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills.?
  •  Ability to build working relationships within the School/department, University and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve complex internal and external queries and to provide and maintain a high level of customer service whilst working to deadlines.

This is a permanent, full time position (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
