Salary
£32348 to £43414 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Stroke Trials Unit, School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham is one of the UK's leading stroke research teams.  We are seeking applications for a part time Speech and Language Therapist to support the Chief Investigator and the PhEAST trial team, investigating the effectiveness of pharyngeal electrical stimulation for acute stroke Dysphagia. 

You will be responsible for implementing trial specific training for UK and European sites engaged in the PhEAST trial and screening, recruitment, treatment and follow up of patients at the Nottingham site at Queen's Medical Centre.  There will be opportunity to work with the Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH)  Speech and Language Therapy team. There may be opportunity to undertake a Master of Research (MRes) qualification during the trial should you wish to do so.  You will be supported to apply for funding for the fees which would not be included in the post.

This role is offered on a fixed term basis until 31/03/2025. The role is part time, up to 0.5 FTE (18 hours per week), fewer hours will also be considered, please indicate this in your application.

The role will involve some flexibility, including some evening and weekend work, as well as some travel nationally and internationally.
