The Faculty of Arts and Humanities brings together Winchester School of Art, one of the UK’s leading Art and Design institutions, and the School of Humanities, which spans disciplines from literature, language and music, to history, film and philosophy, many of which are ranked in the top 10 in the UK.

The Faculty’s International Unit invites applications from suitably skilled and experienced candidates for the position of Specialist Officer, tenable from 1 April 2024.

The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic and diverse team with responsibility for furthering the Faculty’s international strategy, including through the development of the Faculty international partnership portfolio and international collaborative activity.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Developing international partnerships to meet Faculty strategic objectives
  • Managing Faculty partnership focused activities and engagement
  • Managing transnational education partnership activities to promote Faculty-wide diversification in student recruitment
  • Supporting the creation of a stimulating international and multicultural environment in the Faculty

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Sound understanding of, and experience of working in, UK Higher Education
  • Skills in developing and establishing contacts and relationships with international partners and stakeholders
  • Experience of project management, preferably in delivering international Higher Education projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of working with, and effectively supporting, international students to enhance their experience
