Specialist Educator (student led placement clinic)

About the role

The School of Healthcare has developed a new physiotherapy clinic for the provision of services for the local population, led by our students as part of their placement experience. Students will assess and treat patients with a wide variety of conditions under the direct supervision of an experienced clinical team.

This post provides the opportunity for an enthusiastic neurological or musculoskeletal physiotherapist with excellent clinical skills, to work as part of an experienced physiotherapy team in our innovative physiotherapy placements clinic. You will work closely with the clinic lead to teach and supervise students on placement, developing their assessment and treatment skills.

As a practice focused lecturer, you will be expected to maintain your clinical practice whilst teaching and supporting students on placement in the clinic. You will deliver excellent student support and pursue innovation and enhancement in student learning and experience with a view to ensuring outstanding student satisfaction.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be a specialist in neurological or musculoskeletal physiotherapy and hold a BSc/MSc in physiotherapy, with experience of teaching and supervision of students on practice placement in NHS, Private, independent or voluntary sectors.  You will have excellent clinical skills and will demonstrate advanced organisational and communication skills, with the ability to listen and innovate.  You will also be a member of the HCPC and CSP.

You will have a real passion for the subject matter and be motivated to provide the very best experience for our students using your expertise and clinical skills to ensure all reach their potential.
