Now, we need a Solicitor to join our team at our vibrant West Cambridge site.

• Be at the forefront of scientific and technological breakthroughs: Draft, review, and advise on legal agreements for cutting-edge startups and technologies, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of science and business at Cambridge.
• Make a tangible difference: Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of Cambridge Enterprise, contributing directly to the University's mission of fostering innovation with global impact.
• Fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment: Advise on complex legal issues, negotiate agreements, and manage legal processes in a dynamic environment as part of specific project teams
• Develop alongside a supportive team: Learn from experienced colleagues and contribute your expertise to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

• At least 1 year PQE with a strong academic background in law.
• Proven experience in commercial law, ideally within the technology or science sectors.
• An understanding of venture capital transactions, seed funding structures and technology licensing.
• Familiarity with due diligence principles, including AML & KYC, National Security and Investment Act, and Export Control.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen interest in innovation and emerging technologies.

• Understanding of intellectual property law.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and private equity.
• Knowledge of EU and US investment norms and instruments.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
