The Nuffield Department of Population Health contains world renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Centre on Population Approaches for Non-communicable Disease Prevention (CPNP), which is one of several research groups within NDPH, seeks to carry out high quality methodological research to inform policy and practice in relation to prevention of non-communicable disease (NCD).

As a Software Engineer you will work on research supporting population approaches to improve diet, specifically working on exciting and technically challenging projects related to online supermarket shopping. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of two existing research platforms (foodDB and BetterBasket), create dashboards and visualisations and analyse data from these platforms for specific projects. To be considered for this post you will have excellent programming skills and expertise in developing interactive front-end web applications.
