This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. 

Summary of the role 

Digital technologies will transform both ‘what we do’ and ‘how we do it’ at the university, through our workplace design, the skills we develop, and the way we work and collaborate. Our digital transformation will have our people and their needs at its heart. 

As a Software Engineer, you will be a key part of the team delivering innovative digital solutions using modern technologies to enable our staff and students to achieve their goals.  

You will work as part of an agile team using modern technologies and frameworks to develop and support innovative solutions and solve problems. You will lead the development of automated testing capabilities around digital development, deployment and software testing in a DevOps environment. 

You 

The ideal candidate will be technically fluent in programming languages, web services or other appropriate technical skills. You will you have recent experience of managing automated build and deployment tools and proven experience of working in an Agile DevOps environment. You will have the ability to break down barriers and build lasting beneficial relationships. Having the ability to adapt and demonstrate determination and focus within your work is essential.
