<span">https://www.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/"><>< a=""> style="font-weight: 400;">InterPro<> is one of the leading databases for protein classification and identification of functionally important domains and conserved sites. It integrates predictive models, describing protein families, domains, and sites, from over ten specialized databases. InterPro is part of the Sequence Families group, which is led by Alex Bateman.

You will have the opportunity to contribute towards implementing new features in the InterPro database resources, and ensuring the timely release of InterPro and InterProScan.

Your role

In this role you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the InterPro resource and <span">https://www.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/search/sequence/"><>< a=""> style="font-weight: 400;">InterProScan<> software. You will be a part of the development team that maintains the InterPro resources and InterProScan software and executes the analysis pipelines that underpin these services.

The core responsibilities involve designing, developing, testing, and documenting the new version of InterProScan (in Python), while maintaining the current version of InterProScan (Java)

  • Contract duration: This position is a 3 year contract, renewable up to 9 years
