Job Summary - The University of Exeter is looking for a new Social Sport Coordinator to support their sport strategy over the next 12 months.  Your role will involve developing a social sport programme for students, following student consultation and linking in with the lower end of sporting activity within the AU clubs. This will include both weekly events and one-off events throughout the year.  You will also develop a comprehensive events calendar of social sport events. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership Scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) on a 12-month contract. You will be based at Streatham Campus in Exeter. About You - You should be a graduate in sport, physical education, leisure management or equivalent who has NGB coaching awards, a first aid at work certificate and software qualifications including use of database, word processing, spreadsheets & PowerPoint. You should have a high level of computer literacy, knowledge of Sport development processes and pathways, excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and have a friendly and approachable manner. You should be able to work innovatively and enthusiastically, with an ability to generate ideas to continually improve participation opportunities, have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, willing to embrace and actively participate in innovation and change, be committed to finding solutions to complex problems, and be able to work under own initiative and be ‘self-directed’. You should have knowledge of The British national and local sports system, experience of the playwaze management system and an understanding of the ‘Uniting the Movement’ Sport England 10-year strategy. You should also have a track record of establishing new programmes and increasing participation rates, and have experience of organising a wide range of events and projects, of responsibility for the health and safety of activities and programmes, and being on a committee position of a sports club/society.
