Social Media Executive

This is a great opportunity for a junior digital marketer to join our fast-paced Hult Marketing Team at its head office in London. In the role of Social Media Executive you will report to the Global Social Media Manager and you will contribute to the day-to-day execution on all Social Organic channels, with focus on Instgram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, TikTok.

This role is perfect for a Social Media enthusiast who loves to build a brand through exciting social initiatives and thinks holistically about the relationship between online and offline in order to create and execute strategic social media campaigns to a global audience across organic platforms.

In this role, the successful candidate will possess a creative mindset with a dedication to content creation for organic channels and a natural instinct in capturing new trends to increase organic traffic to channels. They will have hands-on experience working with large active social media accounts. The successful candidate will collaborate with all disciplines within the global marketing team (Design Studio, Content Creation, Brand Marketing, Email, Paid Search, Paid Social) and with our Campuses in order to execute strong social media plans. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and drive organic social content
    • Research organic content share strategies to reach Hult’s target audience.
    • Manage the daily social media scheduling and posting.
    • Create organic social campaigns that encourage social share and engagement, working with design, content, and technical teams. 
    • Contribute  to developing strategies that not only target potential students, but also current and past students (i.e. alums) to increase referrals.
    • Responding and engaging with followers across all organic channels, managing CRM.
    • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring social media campaigns.
    • Contribute to Hult blog development with focus on share content strategy.
  • Manage influencers and ambassadors communities 
    • Expand community and influence outreach efforts.
    • Oversee Hult’s Ambassador program (comprised of Hult students ) - from the selection and monitoring of ambassadors to executing social posts and events. 
    • Monitor, listen and respond to users across all social channels.
    • Align with the events marketing team to promote and produce social events.
    • Help improve the chatbot logic to better respond to the ever growing queries via social media channels.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passionate about organic Social Media and keeping up with trends.
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytic side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to express new ideas and take initiative on projects.
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to brand voices. 
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Displays strong understanding and knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc).

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience working with large active social media accounts.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and other organic social platforms with ability to test new organic channels.
  • Experience in organic social trend research and analysis is desirable.
  • Good understanding of organic social media KPIs.
  • Experience with social media management and tracking tools, such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
  • Superior written and spoken English skills. 
  • Great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Understanding of audience targeting and persona reach.
  • Experience in running community groups in Facebook, Reddit, etc.
