This part-time post, (0.8 FTE) is available from 1 October 2022 on a fixed term or secondment basis to 30 June 2023, based at our Truro Campus in Cornwall. The role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Administrator to join our Smartline Extension Project.

We are looking for someone with outstanding organisational and planning skills, and is able to manage a diverse workload, adopt existing processes and adhere to project regulations. You will be expected to provide administrative support across the project and deliver exceptional customer service. Tasks will include organising and supporting meetings, maintaining office systems, record keeping, supporting project activities, diary management, organising travel and accommodation arrangements, organising and supporting events and processing purchasing requests.

You will have experience in office systems and processes, record keeping, diary management, minute taking, and will be a strong team player.  You will have a flexible attitude to your work and a willingness to support others when needed.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable administrative experience with excellent attention to detail, be able to communicate effectively, work independently, be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and have excellent IT skills.

Smartline is a research and innovation project that aims to stimulate growth in the eHealth and eWellbeing small and medium enterprise (SME) sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, improve the health and wellbeing of social housing tenants and build connected communities. It is a partnership project involving the University of Exeter, Coastline Housing Ltd, Volunteer Cornwall, Cornwall Council and the South West Academic Health Science Network.  For more information about the work of Smartline, please visit the project website at https://www.smartline.org.uk/ .

This post is available from 1 October 2022 to 30 June 2023 and is part of a project involving the University of Exeter and Cornwall Council. It is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and forms part of the European Strategic Investment Framework for Heart of the South West.
