Job Description

We are currently seeking a SITS Improvement Coordinator who will be responsible for implementing tasks necessary for the continual improvement of student data and processes related to our student record system, SITS. Providing reliable and accurate student records are vital to ensure a positive student experience at Bath Spa University. 

About the Role

Working in the data improvement team, the SITS Improvement Coordinator is responsible for implementing continual improvement related to our student record system. Within the role you will undertake data updating tasks as required to support the continual improvement of student data and processes related to our student record system, SITS. You will also provide advice to colleagues throughout the University on SITS-related enquiries. Another key aspect will be assisting with the identification of opportunities to improve data collection, processing and reporting to aid the effective and efficient production of data required for internal monitoring and student statutory returns. You will keep up to date with how student data is used within the University and the wider HE sector, assisting with planning for readiness ahead of any expected changes to student data requirements, as well as fostering close links with IT Services, Student & Registry Services and other teams so that student record quality can be monitored and maintained 

About You 

You will be highly experienced in ensuring data integrity, reporting, and quality alignment with internal standards or regulatory requirements. Your expertise in improving data quality and processing, along with proficiency in complex database extraction, transformation, and loading, will be invaluable along with knowledge of the UK HE landscape and the student journey is essential. You will excel in multitasking and working to tight deadlines and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a proven ability to collaborate seamlessly across teams and departments towards shared objectives. You will also pay strong attention to detail, be flexible and a keen problem solver with excellent judgement in task prioritisation.
