- £27511 to £32817 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £30942 with relevant PhD).
We are currently seeking a surface analysis postdoctoral scientist to join the Advanced Materials and Healthcare Technologies (AMHT) division within the School of Pharmacy. This role will involve working closely with a wide range of researchers across the university providing project support, training, marketing materials, management and maintenance for the Nottingham SIMS Facility which includes a time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometer (ToF-SIMS) and 3D OrbiSIMS instrument within the AMHT. The successful candidate will have experience in surface analysis, mass spectrometry and data interpretation from both instruments.
To be suitable for this post you must have at least an upper-second class degree and a PhD submitted or awarded in materials science, physics, chemistry (or equivalent) or a PhD submitted or awarded in the area of chemical imaging mass spectrometry. You need to demonstrate a proactive, dynamic and dedicated approach to work. Your excellent communication skills should be evident from written reports and publications, as well as presentations and discussions.
This full time post is offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.
