The Institute of Cancer Research, London, is one of the world’s most influential cancer research institutes with an outstanding record of achievement dating back more than 100 years. We provided the first convincing evidence that DNA damage is the basic cause of cancer, laying the foundation for the now universally accepted idea that cancer is a genetic disease. Today, we lead the world at isolating cancer-related genes and discovering new targeted drugs for personalised cancer treatment. Together with our partner The Royal Marsden, we are rated in the top five cancer centres globally.
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) is committed to attracting, developing and retaining the best minds in the world to join us in our mission – to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.

The Institute of Cancer Research is looking for a dynamic SharePoint Developer to support intranet and collaboration services and deliver development projects.

The successful applicant should have experience developing collaboration and office automation solutions using SharePoint, JavaScript, and SharePoint APIs while also administering a SharePoint service and providing support to end users. Experience maintaining a legacy on-premises SharePoint platform and working with SharePoint Online would be beneficial as would experience working in a non-profit environment.

The salary range is £42,750- £45,000 per annum. Appointments are normally made at the start of the range but consideration will be given to experience and skills.  Future progression is based on annual performance review.

To apply please submit the online application on the ICR Careers site, attaching your CV with the supporting statement (addressing with specific examples where you meet the person specification, a brief description of your research experience and incl. the names and addresses of at least two referees).

For more details, please refer to the job description and person specification.

We look forward to receiving applications from all candidates, wherever in the world they are currently based. We will select those who display the potential to become, or to support, the world leading cancer researchers of the future based on their application and performance at interview. However, we particularly welcome British applicants from black and ethnic minority backgrounds, as they are under-represented within the ICR and nationwide in STEM roles.

The ICR is the leading academic research centre in the UK. Effective industry collaboration and innovation in new medicines and technologies are at the heart of our approach to drive benefits for patients. The ICR is ranked:

  • first for the quality and impact of our research*
