Senior Technical Officer - Biotechnology

The Department of Physical, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (PMES) is part of the Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise.  This post will be supporting teaching and research programmes within PMES, based at Exton Park and Thornton Science Park sites.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Officer with the skills and experience to work as part of a team to support and deliver Biotechnology, Microbiology and Chemistry laboratory activities for students and staff.  The role holder will be expected to work flexibly across the department and wider university, depending on need and on the best use of individual skills and expertise. You will be educated to degree level and have significant experience of working in a biology laboratory environment, biosafety and microbiological containment. You will be organised, computer-literate, a good communicator and have an enthusiasm for delivering an excellent student experience.
