Peoples Futures Limited (a subsidiary of Coventry University) is currently recruiting to a new Senior Teaching Fellow position in Accounting.  Working in the School of Economics, Finance and Accounting, within the Faculty of Business and Law, these roles will focus on teaching delivery to support the student experience through inspirational teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The post-holder will have detailed knowledge of contemporary pedagogy in relation to the teaching of a wide range of topics in Accounting.

Senior Teaching Fellows will undertake teaching, curriculum development, and course co-ordination supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programmes and other core activities, and ensure that students have an effective learning experience. Senior Teaching Fellows will lead aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of module teams.

We strive to be innovative and bold in our delivery and have invested in one of the largest academic trading floors in Europe, a state-of-the-art DigiComm Lab, and a Business Simulation Suite.

The School of Economics, Finance and Accounting is one of four schools in the Faculty of Business and Law and is home to subject disciplines in Accounting and Finance, Business and Finance, Finance and Investment, Business Economics, Financial Economics, Accountancy, etc. We are a diverse school with a wide range of programmes and an increasing number of activities in the area of enterprise and innovation.

Role Purpose:
The successful candidate will have a growing reputation in a combination of teaching and/or scholarship, along with a good understanding of course management and administration in their own area. Role holders will contribute the continual enhancement of the student experience and the activity, knowledge and values required for internationalising Higher Education.

Person Specification:
• A Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership.
• A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education.
• Experience of academic leadership and effective communication skills.
• A contextualised knowledge of pedagogy and innovative teaching methods with the ability to develop these across a team of academic staff.
• Ability to set out, communicate and critically review complex issues pertaining to contemporary challenges in the theory and practice of Accounting.
• Understanding and experience of the principles of curriculum design and development.
