We are looking for a Senior Student Visa Compliance Manager to join the Registry Operations department within Academic and Student Support Services.

As a senior member of the Visa Compliance Team, you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to ensuring the highest standards of compliance with the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) sponsor obligations.

This post will support a culture of continuous service improvement and undertake a range of duties, including:

  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues at all levels and across academic and professional services, guiding them on complex student visa and immigration matters.
  • Ensure adherence to all aspects of compliance with our obligations to the UKVI as a trusted Sponsor, keeping up-to-date knowledge of changes in UKVI policy and procedure.
  • Maintaining the University Student Sponsor Licence through oversight of the work of the Student Visa Compliance team, ensuring strict compliance with UKVI regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process and service improvements related to student immigration and compliance and facilitate the implementation of these enhancements.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Extensive knowledge of UK Visa and Immigration regulations as they apply to Higher Education.
  • Experience of providing expert advice to staff in relation to student visa regulations.
  • Strong data analysis skills to identify risks and ensure full compliance with UKVI regulations.
  • An aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet multiple demands.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week), 2 year fixed term position.

Salary: £49,794 - £54,395 per annum (Grade 7).
