Senior Statistician

The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within the NDPH, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease. 

We are seeking a Senior Statistician to provide statistical leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team of researchers, including DPhil students and contribute to post-graduate teaching of statistics. You will teach and tutor MSc students, and be a co-module lead for the statistics module on our MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology. You will also be involved in writing grant applications, planning and conducting statistical analysis, writing reports and journal articles, presenting research findings at scientific conferences and providing statistical advice to colleagues. 

To be considered, you will have a PhD and/or MSc degree in statistics or epidemiology and experience of teaching at graduate level. You will also have experience of working as a statistician including experience of assisting with the design of studies for health research, expertise in statistical software (e.g. STATA, R, SAS) and publications commensurate with stage of career.
