Salary Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £33,809 to £37,684 per annum, pro rata, with potential progression up to £47,105 per annum pro rata (30 hours per week)

Role Description

About the Role

Supporting Cranfield Defence and Security, you will be responsible for the maintenance of a safe working environment and the coordination of the school’s specialist Safety Advisors, reporting to the Deputy Head of Health and Safety and working closely with the School Executive.

About You

In this role you will assist in enhancing health and safety in the University both in terms of engagement with the management system and the specific operational requirements.  Qualified as a minimum to NEBOSH Certification or equivalent, you will ideally be a member of IOSH or a recognised professional body.

You will have significant relevant post qualification experience in supporting senior managers in a large diverse organisation, with evidence of working both independently and as part of a team. Above all you will have outstanding influencing and negotiation skills and share our passion for innovation and best practice. Skilled in acting as an agent for positive and lasting change, you will need to be fully capable of developing workable, pragmatic solutions, co-ordinating improvement activities, producing concise supporting materials and evaluating performance feedback.
