Senior Research Technician

Summary of the role

Technical Services is recruiting a new full-time (1 FTE) senior research technician to be based in the Bioimaging Centre, as part of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the Exeter campus.

Working as part of the Bioimaging team, the role holder will support the state-of-the-art electron microscopy modalities of the research facility under supervision of the experimental officer. In particular, the role involves supporting the operation, maintenance and user training/assistance of the electron microscopy systems (TEM as well as SEM) and will be integral for the various sample preparation methods, data acquisition and analysis for ongoing and upcoming EM projects of the facility.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of technical services staff, providing advanced imaging techniques, in order to address key questions in biology.
