This placement is for one fixed-term, 0.4 FTE (two days per week) Post-Doctoral Researcher (ASR-Senior Research Officer) in the Department of Language and Linguistics.

The Department of Language and Linguistics conducts world-leading research and has more than 40 full-time academic members.

Duties of the Role
The post-holder will contribute to delivering the research objectives defined by the “Behind Closed Doors: Trajectories to Violence in Intimate Interaction” grant and research project.

You will work with the P.I., Dr. Rebecca Clift, collecting, managing, transcribing and analysing data on interactional conflict, co-ordinate project activities with project academic and non-academic partners and be involved in research activities in the UK allied to the project.

Qualifications and Skills required
The successful applicant is expected to hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in an area related to the project aims and methods in multimodal conversation analysis and family interaction, with experience in transcribing and analysing multi-modal interaction.

In addition, you will be expected to prepare materials for the research and impact study and liaise with external agencies as part of educational outreach.

This appointment will be fixed-term for six months from the date of appointment with funding available until 31 December 2024.
