Salary:  £42,155 to £53,353 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for an experienced researcher in the field of pension autoenrollment and retirement saving to lead and deliver individual and collaborative research in the area of retirement saving research and make a contribution to the direction of research programmes in the School of Economics.

The role will be responsible for generating new intellectual understanding/knowledge through the application of knowledge and for developing ideas for application of research outcomes. The post holder will sustain and pursue a research plan in the particular field on pension autoenrollment and retirement saving, and will develop new concepts and ideas.  Where appropriate, they will develop and win support for innovative research development proposals and funding bids.   

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in the relevant subject area plus sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies.

The post is available on a fixed term contract from 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2023. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
