We welcome applications from highly professional individuals who enjoy working in a rapidly evolving environment, for the position of Senior Research Fellow in our Advanced Vehicle Engineering Centre (AVEC).

About the Role

AVEC has built a significant track record in the area of advanced vehicle engineering consultancy focused on off road and on road vehicle dynamics for wheeled and tracked vehicles. This role will support the continued development of this activity and in particular manage and deliver two large research projects associated with off road vehicle dynamics. The job holder will be expected to contribute to academic papers, income generation and research output and will also build, develop and maintain key business relationships with industrial partners.

About You

You will hold a PhD in a relevant field or equivalent significant experience in a relevant environment, such as industry.  You will have a proven track record of successful proposal development and project management, alongside a record of high-quality research output.  You will possess knowledge of vehicle mobility, terra-mechanics and off-road vehicle dynamics. In return, you will have the opportunity to both deliver these significant projects and play a pivotal role in the generation of new exciting projects within this subject area, developing yourself and your career in turn.
