The Senior Research Fellow role is equivalent to a typical Assistant Professor role you may find in other business schools.

About CBIT

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the newly established and highly dynamic and exciting Centre for Business and Industry Transformation (https://www.ntu.ac.uk/research/groups-and-centres/centres/cbit-centre-for-business-and-industry-transformation). CBIT is established by the team who has created the top-ranked entrepreneurship education programme in the UK (by Eduniversal), with a legacy of accelerating over 100+ innovative businesses.

Leveraging its £6.5m+ research funding portfolio, CBIT is a unique initiative that integrates Business Transformation research rigor into transformative Venture Building practice and disruptive leader education.

What you’ll do

You will be a founding member of the CBIT, acting as a research lead. You will be contributing to the entire academic excellence of the centre, but especially own the research agenda for corporate entrepreneurship and business (digital) transformation. You will be embedding academic methodology and rigour in business transformation practice.

You will be expected to lead and deliver high-quality publications, secure research funding, knowledge transfer partnership grants or third-stream income as appropriate, supervise research students and contribute to the department’s research and external engagement strategy.

Who you are

You are passionate about transforming business and industry through academic-industry collaboration. You will have contributed to a range of inter/multidisciplinary research activities in the fields related to business and industry transformation from one of the tracks

  • Information Science / Tech Management Track: including Data Science; Machine Learning; Artificial Intelligence; Computational Ontology; Knowledge representation; Personal Data; PrivTech; etc
  • Entrepreneurship / Innovation / Strategy track: including digital economy, new business models; transformation methodologies and management; (Corporate) Entrepreneurship, innovation, service science etc.
  • You will have demonstrated early authority for the quality and impact of research and education activities, as well as a developed international profile in your fields of expertise.
