Applications are invited for the role of Business Partnership Lead at the UKRI Innovation and Knowledge Centre (IKC) Transforming Net Zero with Ultrawide Bandgap Semiconductor Device Technology (REWIRE) . This is a key externally facing development role, seeking to build and manage productive partnerships between REWIRE and the industry sector in the West of England region, UK and internationally. Its focus is on delivering long term economic outcomes through strategic partnerships across semiconductor supply chain and associated technology sectors.

- Establish and manage external and internal partnerships, including key relationships with national and international industry, and policy makers.
- Proactively identify and engage potential REWIRE partners, matched to programme need, and securing collaboration in the technology development programme and project sponsorship.
- Plan and oversee the delivery of a programme of partner engagement activities and develop a strategic plan for expansion of the REWIRE’s external engagement, identifying opportunities for new partnerships, leveraged funding, publicity activities and showcases, and ECR career development.
- Manage partnership data and ensure partnership information is shared in an effective and compliant manner across the REWIRE partners, such that communications to external businesses are consistent, clear and always provide value.
- Represent REWIRE at appropriate industry events and trade shows, seeking platform opportunities to highlight the REWIRE opportunity and impact.
The candidate should have professional experience of working with industry or collaborating with industry from within a university and a proven record of working in a similar role e.g. senior administrative / project management role in industry or higher education environment, as well as demonstrable understanding of the semiconductor technology sector landscape.
Applicants are also required to have experience and knowledge of project management and budgets and should possess exceptional relationship management, influencing and negotiating skills as well as an understanding of the position of R&D / innovation funding in delivering commercial potential.
