Deadline: 31 Jan 2022

The University of South Wales Sustainable Environment Research Centre (SERC) is seeking a Senior Research Assistant in Analytical Chemistry to work as part of the ERDF funded FLEXISApp project, Sustainable Fertiliser for Decarbonisation. The aim of this project is to research, develop and demonstrate an advanced soil conditioner produced using renewable and organic resources. You will be joining a team with considerable expertise in developing and deploying this technology and will be taking a leading role in the chemical analysis of soil conditioners and related materials, as well as soils and crops. This will directly inform the design of the advanced soil conditioner technology, which will be demonstrated via field-scale trials conducted as part of the project.

The post holder will be mainly based in the SERC labs at the University of South Wales Glyntaff Campus but regular travel to other university campuses as well as nationally and internationally with collaborators is also expected.

This a full-time fixed term post until 31/01/2023.

If you are a successful external candidate for this position, you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
