You will play a leading role in the delivery of estate development projects across the University’s renowned campus portfolio.

The University of Exeter estate comprises over 360,000 square metres of academic, research, administrative, commercial, residential accommodation and renewable energy infrastructure on 430 acres of land across Devon and Cornwall. The University has ambitious plans to continue to development its estate and infrastructure, including a bold commitment to invest in sustainability buildings and infrastructure to support its goal of becoming a Net Zero University by 2050.

The Senior Project Manager M&E will lead the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects that emanate from the University’s net zero investment programme, with projects typically being in the £1m to £10m value range, placing emphasis on sustainability, quality and value throughout project delivery. This role will join to lead the development and delivery of high design quality, high specification carbon reduction technology and supporting utility infrastructure as well as other major projects to upgrade and reinforce building services across the estate.

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of leading a complex portfolio of mechanical and electrical capital and upgrade projects from programme development to operation. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills together with strong commercial acumen and a highly organised approach. Experience of leading a large-scale programme of renewable energy technology projects across academic, research, healthcare, public and/or commercial property types would be advantageous.
