The School:

The School of Project Management (SoPM) is a relatively new school within the Faculty of Business. The current MSc Project Management has been designed to enable digital and blended teaching practices based on sound pedagogic principles to deliver learning which will meet the need of 21 Century students. The programme is very successful with over 300 students across distance learning and blended learning.

Going forward, the SoPM will develop and expand its programme offering with a suite of Undergraduate, Degree Apprenticeship, Postgraduate and short courses.

The Opportunity:

This Senior Lecturer post will work with the Dean, Heads of School, Principal Lecturers and Lecturers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of programmes in accordance with University strategy, policies and procedures and undertake research and scholarly activity. Senior Lecturers have academic leadership responsibilities which typically involve a combination of the following, in negotiation with their Head of School/Principle Lecturer:

  • Responsibility for a programme or suite of associated named awards/programmes
  • Module leadership of several large, core modules
  • Overall responsibility for a year group or cohort within a programme (for example on a large programme)
  • Line management of Lecturers (who may themselves lead modules)
  • Management of School projects
  • Academic Integrity Officer

About You:

The ideal candidate has a track record to lead, deliver, develop and monitor postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, ensuring high levels of student outcomes. This includes associated operational administration, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement (including accreditation by relevant professional institutions where appropriate).
