About the Role

We are looking to recruit to a key post of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Health Economics in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM), a thriving research centre that incorporates four units which deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary research strengths. The Senior Lecturer/Lecturer will join the Health Economics and Policy Research Unit, a rapidly growing research unit that develops and applies health economic methods to inform national and international health policy and improve population health. The post holder will develop research in the area of health economics and clinical trials to facilitate translation of health interventions into practice to improve population health and reduce inequalities. They will also contribute to health economics supervision, teaching and administration as relevant.

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health and preventive medicine.

About You

We are looking for an experienced post-doctoral researcher with evidence of high quality research and an ambition/ aptitude for an academic career in the area of health economics and clinical trials. Good grounding in health economics methodology and harnessing the value of health evidence and data is essential.

The post is based at our Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full-time (part-time ≥80% FTE could be considered), permanent appointment, with an expected start date of Autumn 2023. The starting salary for a Senior Lecturer will be Grade 7, in the range of £61,896 - £69,114 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance or for a Lecturer will be Grade 6, in the range of £52,549 - £58,595 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
