The job requirements are detailed below. Where applicable the skills, qualifications and memberships required for this job have also been included.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high performing academic to join the Construction and Built Environment (CBE) subject in the Business School. The successful candidate will deliver innovative teaching across a core programme of study in CBE. We are looking for a candidate who can lead teaching and practice around core modules such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Technology, Estimating & Planning, Project Execution and Interprofessional Practice, etc.
The successful candidate will have a portfolio of technical skills accompanied by an extensive knowledge of the theory and practical application of modern CBE techniques.
As we grow our CBE provision and move into having more of a presence in Leeds City Centre, we have an exciting opportunity for new colleagues to join the academic team. Initially, you will be briefly based at Horsforth Campus, but it is expected you will relocate to the Leeds City Campus in the Academic Year 2024/25. Through our Agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at the interview.
We welcome applications from candidates who have a PhD (or who are close to completing their PhD) in CBE (or a closely related area of study) or who have an equivalent portfolio of experience. Applicants with a professional qualification with a chartered institute or professional body are welcome.
Closing date for applications: 3 April 2024. Interviews for this post are expected to take place on 19 and 22 April 2024.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Hesham Al-Sabbahy, Head of School: [email protected].
Leeds Trinity University values diversity and inclusion and particularly encourages applications from the following groups as they are currently under-represented at this level within the University: Women, LGBT+ and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic applicants, as well as candidates with disabilities, whether hidden or otherwise. The University will consider all forms of flexible working arrangements.
