The Journalism Department at Liverpool John Moores University is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer to join our team.

Based in the heart of a city full of news, sport and culture to report upon, we deliver NCTJ-accredited courses in journalism and sports journalism at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our BA Journalism is also BJTC accredited, and we pride ourselves in developing multimedia journalists who are ready for success in all parts of the industry.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Lecturer. Experience of news and feature writing and/ or teaching theoretical journalism modules will be a particular advantage.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the working practices and skills relevant to the contemporary UK journalism industry. They will have a PhD or postgraduate qualification in a relevant area and/or equivalent professional experience. Knowledge of the NCTJ and/ or BJTC will be an advantage.
