We are interested in colleagues with expertise in any area of Economics, but we are particularly interested in scholars with expertise in econometrics and macroeconomics, experience of successfully leading and delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate modules in statistics, econometrics and macroeconomics.  Research experience, as demonstrated by a track record of publication and a clear research strategy in their areas of specialism, and experience of dissertation supervision at UG and PG level.  Knowledge of relevant professional accreditations and familiarity with trading room software would also be desirable for the role.

As a Senior Lecturer in Economics you will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate core modules and contribute to the continuous development of the Business School’s programme portfolio. You will be able and willing to apply your expertise and experience to a range of disciplinary areas and business contexts, from SMEs to the corporate world.  You will understand what it means to deliver an outstanding learning experience to students, with experience commensurate with the post and be confident operating in virtual and blended learning environments. Applicants should be established and active researchers, with a developing research profile, and able to contribute to the delivery of research-informed teaching and the further development of one or more of our research centres.

Candidates are usually appointed at the bottom of the salary range with a step pay increase until they reach the top of the salary scale.
