Engineering, Computing and Mathematics (ECAM) offers a growing range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics and computer science, including substantial degree apprenticeship provision. Our programmes are recognised for their academic quality, innovation and close ties to the industries in which our graduates will work. ECAM operate from their home in the ‘Tech Park,’ which is a state-of-the-art £35 million building based on the university’s Bognor Regis campus. 

About you

We are particularly looking for applicants with research interest and experience in one or more of the following areas: Web technologies and/or cloud computing, mobile app and multiplatform development, Internet of things, predictive analytics and tools, creative computing and game development. Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to students on the ECAM programmes. 

Working with the Engineering, Computing and Mathematics staff team and students, you will, among other activities, make a key contribution to designing, developing and delivering new and existing undergraduate, post-graduate and degree apprenticeship programmes. You will also contribute to our vibrant research culture and excellent student learning experience. The postholder will ordinarily be expected to undertake programme co-ordinator duties and responsibilities. 

The successful candidate will be pro-active, enthusiastic and enjoy working as a member of our innovative, dedicated and collaborative team.

You’ll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
