Senior Lecturer in Computer Science

Permanent, full time

The School of Computing and Engineering is seeking to recruit a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Computer Science. The person appointed will have a PhD in Computer Science (or related area) and will have postdoctoral experience in Computer Science. Candidates should have a track record of high quality peer reviewed outputs and have an established publication record.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate evidence of successful undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Computer Science. Evidence of expertise in one or more of the following areas will also be required:

  •  Programming and software engineering;
  •  Internet of Things security
  •  Cyber Physical Systems security
  •  Data analytics for cyber security
  •  Digital Forensic Investigation

Experience in administrative duties and a willingness to undertake administrative duties is also essential.

The post-holder will have effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, be committed to the development of themselves and others and supportive of equal opportunities.  They will be able to work as part of a team and interested in contributing to novel approaches to research and teaching.
