We are seeking two experienced and enthusiastic candidates to join us as Senior Lecturers in AI or Data Science.

With 23,000 students, the University of Wolverhampton is one of the largest universities in the UK, having an excellent teaching quality profile, strong performance in third stream income generation and an improving REF performance. The Department of Computing and Mathematical Sciences manages a well-established portfolio of Computing courses covering Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Mathematics. It is committed to providing high quality Computing courses whilst maintaining the University’s aspiration to be the University of Opportunity.

You will work with staff and students in the pursuit of research both as an individual and as part of the wider School and Faculty activities, encompassing complementary research areas by contributing to the work of established research groups. Hence, you should have a track record of dissemination of research outputs / achievements in high quality scientific/technical journals and have the potential to attract research funding and/or generate external income.

You must have a PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence or Data Science or a very closely related subject. You must be committed to the organisation and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the Department of Computing and Mathematical Sciences on undergraduate and postgraduate courses, across the breadth and depth of its subject areas. Membership of a professional body will be essential.

You will be expected to work in a multi-disciplinary team of professionals / academics, and also work very closely with all (academic and non-academic) staff at School and University levels.
