As our London campus continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint an academic member of staff at the Senior Lecturer level who will share our passion for excellent student experience and high employability. The successful applicant will join the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics.

You will be a highly qualified academic with experience in Higher Education who enjoys all aspects of teaching, learning and academic management. You will demonstrate scholarly activity which informs your teaching and you will be able to provide guidance, mentoring and support to early career colleagues.

The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Coventry University London offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Accounting, Finance and Economics.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Accounting to support the delivery of current modules and the development of new portfolio. The post holder will contribute to delivering the institution’s mission, which is to prepare career-ready, global and enterprising graduates by providing a real business, and professional experience that is tailored to individual talents and future career ambitions.

You will be a highly qualified academic with significant experience in UK Higher Education and enjoy all aspects of teaching and learning . You will share our passion for delivering an excellent student experience and enhancing student career prospects.

You will have demonstrable experience of curricula design and facilitation of student learning with state-of-the-art learning methods, research informed teaching, quality resource material and networking with employers. You will be expected to have teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and be qualified, or be close to completion, to a Doctoral level. Professionally qualified accountants with ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA are also encouraged to apply.

As well as having excellent academic qualifications and research experience (or demonstrable potential), you will be able to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement. A desire to contribute positively to the reputation and teaching of Coventry University London and the futures of our students by preparing them for successful careers in Accounting, Finance and Economics and related areas is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver teaching and learning, curriculum development and administration of modules and courses in the areas of Accounting at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, and show the ability and willingness to work across the wider subject domain. Candidates who have specialism/industry experience in the below areas are invited to apply: Business Law, Business Strategy (ACCA accredited module), Management Accounting and Performance Management.
