Role

As a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Taxation (or Auditing), your primary responsibilities involve leading and conducting teaching sessions for degree programmes and professional courses. This encompasses delivering engaging lectures, tutorials, and revision classes across various accounting and finance-related subjects. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the development of high-quality teaching materials, ensuring an effective virtual learning environment within a managed learning setting.

Your involvement extends to creating diverse assessments, designing marking schemes, and providing constructive feedback to students. Taking on module and course management responsibilities, you play a key role in curriculum development, contributing to the enhancement of educational offerings.

Scholarly activity and research in your subject area are essential components of this role, adding depth and currency to the educational experience. Your commitment to student success is evident in your support for recruitment events like Open Days and your supervision of student dissertations, projects, and work placements.

Additionally, you contribute to the academic community through the supervision of postgraduate research (PGR) students and external networking initiatives. This includes engagement with local businesses, community colleges, and professional bodies.
