The Faculty wishes to recruit a part time (0.2FTE) Clinical Skills Tutor (Education and Scholarship) to lead the year 5-simulation programme of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree across Exeter, Truro and Torbay.

The successful applicant will possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by registration with GMC/NMC or equivalent in health care to develop teaching programmes, teach and support learning in this academic area. They will use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students. They will participate in and develop external networks, for example to contribute to student recruitment, facilitate outreach work, or build relationships for future activities.

The successful applicant will have experience and a depth of knowledge of simulation teaching in medical education.

Ideally, the applicant will have management experience and maintain a clinical post in addition to this teaching post, keeping them as current as possible with the changing nature of healthcare and clinical procedures. Staff at this level may wish to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
