Senior Lecturers are members of the School’s Senior Management Team, responsible for day-to-day operational administration and management (including line management) within the School. While Senior Lecturers have reduced direct teaching responsibilities, they are nonetheless responsible for the oversight of teaching provided by Lecturers, as well as curriculum development, quality management and enhancement, and operational administration.  This role will have a focus on teaching Masters.

** You will need to travel to our Birmingham Study Centre 1-2 days a month.

Department: Academic - Faculty of Social Sciences

About You:   

You will need a good honours degree in an appropriate subject, or strong experience in a relevant profession, along with excellent breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in your area of expertise, and have the ability to effectively communicate with students in an engaging and understandable way. You will be innovative in your approach to developing and delivering our programmes, bringing learning to life with active teaching techniques. You will also need to be confident in the use of all Microsoft Office tools and applications.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who have professional leadership experience in a relevant discipline such as policing.
