The School of Chemistry at the University of Bristol invites applications for a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Chemistry. This new position has been created through a generous donation to the University.

The School is one of the largest, most globally engaged and vibrant Chemistry departments in the UK. Bristol Chemistry has wide-ranging intellectual strength across the entire discipline, a culture of entrepreneurial activity, and an awareness of global impact and environment. We envisage that the successful candidate will contribute to development of the School’s strategic ambitions in any aspect of Digital Chemistry. We interpret digital chemistry broadly, to include the use of new digital/data tools, working alongside more conventional approaches, to the chemical sciences. The post offers a unique opportunity to join a School of Chemistry that thrives on collegiality, scholarship and impact, at an exciting time in our history. For an exceptional candidate, appointment at full professor level will be considered.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the School strategic priority of digital chemistry. They will carry out world-leading research in the general area of digital chemistry, teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and help guide the development of digital chemistry within the teaching curriculum.

We are seeking outstanding applicants with a proven track record in any area of Digital Chemistry.
