The Faculty wishes to recruit a part-time (0.6 FTE) Academic Tutor based in Doctoral Clinical PGR Programmes to support the Programme Directors with the delivery of the Masters in Clinical Associate in Psychology Degree Apprenticeship (MCAPDA) Programme. This post is available from 1stFebruary 2023.  The contract is initially to an end date of 1st February 2024 but it is possible that it will be extended beyond this date subject to funding. 

The main role of the successful candidate will be to develop and deliver innovative teaching and learning material across the programme, as well as organising one module. You will work with the Programme Directors to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the College’s education strategy and within the education objectives specific to the programme. You will also be involved in developing assignments, marking and providing feedback to apprentices. 

The successful applicant will possess a post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS and giving eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychology registration.  They will also be HCPC registered. The applicant will also be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development as recommended by the BPS. In addition the successful candidate will have experience of teaching in an HE environment. 

The University of Exeter has developed a nationally leading Masters level degree programme to train Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs).  The programme has further been developed into a Degree Apprenticeship, which has now been running for more than 2 years.  This post will support the delivery of CAPs programmes which will train Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs) to work across a variety of settings and locations. The Streatham Campus, the University’s largest site in Exeter, is built around a country estate overlooking the city and is readily acknowledged as one of the most beautiful in the country. All the teaching buildings, together with the sports park, the library, the shops, restaurants, cafés and bars are within walking distance of each other.
