Senior IT Network Manager

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Network function across the various school locations (locally and globally); you will be experienced in delivering multifaceted projects from initiation through to completion with a solid working understanding of establishing the business needs, mapping out the end-to-end processes and working with the technical teams to deliver to the needs of the business.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate experience across:

    • Scoping out the needs of the end users
    • Establishing the critical path
    • Working with Stakeholders and end users
    • Contingency planning for network errors
    • LAN and WAN network experience

Key skills listed (but not limited to):

    • Expert in network design in a multiple site organisation
    • Expert knowledge of alcatel and cisco switches or any alternative providers, meraki firewall or equivalent
    • Degree in computing Networking (or equivalent)
    • Cisco network certification (CCNP) is desirable
    • Cisco meraki certification (CMNA or CMNO) is desirable
    • Working in a complex business IT environment
    • Experience of establishing and maintaining back up options, configuring computer networking and troubleshooting
    • Good understanding on DNS and DHCP
    • Good understanding of IPSec, L2TP and other Virtual Private Network (VPN) Protocols
    • Experienced in network security, risks and vulnerabilities
    • Solid understanding of network management services
