The Department of Zoology are seeking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to lead and develop the HR function. This is a new post which will be key to the effective operation of the Department in a period of significant change.
As HR Manager, your focus will be on Zoology but you will also work closely with the Administrator of Plant Sciences to develop a common approach to HR management across both departments which already jointly deliver an undergraduate biology degree course and share an increasing number of academic, administrative and technician posts.
The successful candidate will have effective management and interpersonal skills and will have extensive experience of leading change management and supporting managers and staff through change. You should have worked in in a senior HR role in Higher Education as well as be CIPD qualified, or have equivalent experience. It is essential that you have sound knowledge and experience of the application of UK employment law UKVI requirements. A flexible approach, strong IT skills and education to degree level or equivalent are essential. HR Experience within the University of Oxford is desirable.
