Teaching and Learning Centre

Job Description

The Executive / Senior Executive will support the Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC) in provision of timely learning support to meet the needs of SUSS students. S/he will be involved in the planning and execution of TLC programmes and coaching initiatives, and will perform administrative duties to support the Centre’s activities.

As part of the TLC team, the successful candidate is expected to support the Centre’s activities including the following:

  • Administer the English Proficiency (EP) Programme and TLC courses
    • Plan, arrange, and execute programme- and course-related matters for SUSS students
    • Administer the courses on various learning platforms
    • Facilitate student appeals and queries, and maintain repository of commonly-asked questions and student appeals
    • Process payments to external markers in a timely manner
    • Work with TLC Student Advising IC and Outreach IC to execute nudging plan for targeted students
  • Lead administration of TLC’s personalised coaching initiatives
    • Plan, coordinate and execute the various coaching initiatives on a semesterly basis
    • Design and disseminate publicity materials related to the coaching initiatives
    • Manage booking system to ensure planned coaching slots are released in a timely fashion
    • Monitor student take-up rates and collate timely reports to support systematic and smooth roll-out of coaching initiatives
    • Coordinate and arrange training, scheduling, and (de-)briefing sessions for coaches
    • Assist with coaches’ recruitment, manage coaches’ contracts, and administer payment to coaches
  • Support Centre’s efforts in organising events and activities for SUSS staff and students, such as annual T&L conferences and orientation sessions
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/ Director
  • Job Requirements

    • Degree holder
    • At least 3 years relevant working experience
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Experience in programme management will be advantageous
    • Knowledge and experience in Adobe software for design will be advantageous
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • A good team player, able to work independently
    • Meticulous, organised, resourceful
    • Driven, positive, forward looking
