Brunel Medical School is part of the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, which is a leading provider of health professional education, including Physician Associate, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology programmes.
Brunel University London is now recruiting a Senior Examinations and Assessment Officer to join the Medical School’s Examinations and Assessment Team. The Senior Examinations and Assessment Officer will support the effective operation of the Academic Progress Panel, Boards of Examiners for the MBBS and PA programmes at Brunel Medical School. The post will also provide high-level support to academic programme teams in accreditation / validation and regulatory activities ensuring professional statutory body compliance (where necessary) and timely, effective delivery of reports and documentation. The Senior Examinations and Assessment Officer will also lead on the planning and delivery of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) and the Applied Knowledge Tests (AKTs) and Applied Knowledge Progress Tests (AKPTs).
Working closely with the Academic Head of Assessment and the Examinations and Assessment Manager, you will support the work of the Academic Progress Panel and the Board of Examiners, as well the Assessment Operational Group, which will coordinate and monitor the development of the assessment programme and mainly support the work of the Professional Skills and Professional Knowledge themes, working closely with our assessment management software and e-Portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified professional, preferably with some experience of assessment administration and related processes, as well as experience of ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The successful candidate will ideally also possess:
- Experience in a professional services role, preferably in a Medical School or other academic environment
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise multiple activities effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
