Purpose of the post

Reporting to the Executive Director, Engagement and Insights, the Senior Communications and Engagement Manager, for the UK Trusted and Connected Data and Analytics Research Environments programme will lead and deliver a national communications strategy for phase 1, design and dialogue. The role will have a significant focus on leading engagement and involvement activities with stakeholders, data users from across research communities, research funders and the public.

Main Responsibilities

  • Write and deliver the phase 1 communications, engagement and events strategy
  • Develop, lead and deliver a plan for stakeholder (including public and data user) engagement activities and events
  • Organise, manage and promote high quality events for the programme
  • Commission external suppliers (including an events partner) to support delivery of the phase 1 communications and engagement strategy and manage these relationships
  • Create and manage the process for gaining and responding to stakeholder views, providing knowledge and insights to the programme director and team
  • Ensure the programme (phase 1) is informed and shaped by public input by recruiting public representatives and managing these important relationships
  • Manage the communications for the launch and results of sprint projects, co-ordinating announcements of successful projects
  • Manage the website content for the programme, ensuring it is up to date and provides a source of relevant content
  • Research, write and create engaging content in the form of case studies, news stories, press releases, slide decks (for the events)
  • Working with HDR UK’s communications team, manage media relations for DARE UK
  • Provide briefings for programme colleagues for presentations, talks, media interviews
  • Record all contacts and interactions in Hubspot CRM
  • Ensure all communication materials produced for the programme adhere to the brand guidelines, helping to ensure the reputation of Health Data Research UK, ADR UK and UKRI and our partners are maintained.
