Senior Combustion Systems Technician

Cardiff University, member of the prestigious Russell Group of research-focused universities in the UK, has built up vast experience and a track record in combustion systems development over the last 50 years.  As part of the development of our Net Zero Fuels program, the Thermofluids and Combustion Laboratories have started an ambitious expansion in the acquisition and design of new units capable of using advanced fuels with low or zero carbon, hence supporting the UK decarbonisation agenda in collaboration with our industrial partners. Therefore, the expansion requires motivated staff that helps with technical aspects needed to install, maintain and redesign our facilities for the advancement of the subject and creation of a new generation of power/heating/cooling systems which will be part of new futuristic units critically needed for the progression towards Net Zero. We are seeking for a highly motivated technician specialised on combustion systems, hence supporting our research and development agendas whilst also bringing new concepts to our facilities to ensure the highest maintenance, calibration and Health&Safety standards.
