Job summary

Do you want a new challenge and to influence change? This is an exciting time to join us, at Imperial within the Student Administration team in Registry as we establish a new transformation team within the heart of London!  We are working with our Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) specialists on a ground-breaking Student Lifecyle roadmap to support our student community.

We need a new Senior Business Analyst at the start of our journey. We will be working to ensure effective engagement and adoption. Whilst we are promoting a collaborative approach with customers in efficient business process re-design in our technological enhancement journey.


Duties and responsibilities

Proactively promoting a partnership approach to new business process developments and seek to engage customers in the enhancement journey. Building excellent customer relationships and supporting changes to business processes whilst enabling ICT enhancements is crucial to the role.

You will lead and facilitate business process mapping in workshops and online, to document both existing business processes, whilst identifying new opportunities to streamline cross departmental activities. Identifying potential ICT improvements as a result of business process development will be an essential part of the role, whilst also being able to think creatively of lean processes.

The Senior Business Analyst will be a proficient in their field and will work to build and coach the skills in non-specialist teams across the organisation.


Essential requirements

  • APMG Change Management, Six Sigma, Lean Processing or equivalent qualification

  • Experience of process design in a complex organisation.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with ability to liaise and build relationships with colleagues at all levels of the institution.

  • Ability to engender a spirit of collaboration, consultation and elicit cooperation from busy colleagues, including academic staff.

  • High levels of accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023.  Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite.  The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
