The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to contribute to day-to-day organisation of the Pain Centre Versus Arthritis in Nottingham. You will work closely with the Co-Director of the Pain Centre Versus Arthritis. The Senior Administrator will act as the central contact point for the Centre, and duties will include organising meetings and events, maintaining websites, assisting with the preparation of grant applications and reports, database management, liaising with academics and members of the public, and general administrative duties. You will also provide administrative support to the Advanced Pain Discovery Platform which will include admin support for conferences and events. 

The role is essential to ensure efficient running of the Pain Centre Versus Arthritis and its projects. We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, great communication skills, and the ability to work and interact with a wide range of stakeholders. You must have excellent problem-solving skills and have successfully worked in a team organising large events. 

The duties and percentage time allocation provides an indication and framework for the role and should not be regarded as a definitive list or allocation. Other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade, spirit and purpose of the post.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 31/05/2026. Hours of work are part-time (21.75 hours). One of the working days will be Wednesday, the other days and hours are to be agreed. You will work on site, located in Academic Rheumatology at the Nottingham City Hospital.
